In transactional printing, which is mainly the production of promotional – advertising materials for various customers, in the majority of cases the most important aspect is order accomplishment time. Transactional production usually means low runs, mutations of a product and a very short time for realisation. That is why it is important that answers to inquiries addressed by customers to the sales department should be immediately reviewed and calculated. Advertising transactional products are usually characterised with the use of several perfecting processes, starting from the standard UV varnishing, to end with embossing, gilding or applying special operations performed manually upon the customer’s request. In most cases a single printing house does not have all the machines that would render possible meeting all the customers’ expectations, therefore in order not to lose clients and ensure them complex services, printing houses decide to order some works to be performed by sub-contractors. Following the definition of a copy format and the bleeds, the system automatically suggests the selection of only these sheets of paper, on which the number of copies defined by the user will fit or in case another format is selected, it will define their appropriate number. On top of that, at each of displayed sheets there will be information on the amount of loss (trimmings) in case of a given configuration of the number of copies and the sheet format.
