Infosystems SA which for quite some time now has been successfully assisting its clients in drafting applications for EU funding, this time filed an application on its own behalf and was granted over 2.7 million PLN subsidy under measure 1.4-4.1.
The funds will be used to develop an innovative IT system for production. Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP) has notified us that Infosystems SA was granted a subsidy of over PLN 2.7 million for further development of solutions it has been proposing. The subsidy will fund almost 46% of costs related to the development of software by Infosystems SA, totaling almost PLN 6 million. Infosystems SA is one of over 200 companies that will receive PLN 720 million in EU subsidies. The list includes 17 companies listed at the Warsaw Stock Exchange or their subsidiaries.
”Our success is even more impressive as among IT projects assessed by PARP, only the project proposed by Asseco Poland SA was granted a larger subsidy (almost PLN 3 million), however with a much smaller proportion of support”, says Mariusz Sosnowski. “With the subsidy we will be starting a new project related to the development of our systems to produce new solutions.”
Infosystems SA for many years has been successfully assisting entities, primarily from printing industry, in obtaining EU funding. The respective experience dates back to 2003 when it was one of the first companies in Poland to assist clients in drafting applications and business plans to the PHARE pre-accession programs. Infosystems was also among the first companies in Poland to have been accredited by PARP to provide services related to the PHARE and SPO WKP programs. In the first half of the previous year, the total amount of applications for EU funding that the company helped develop and draft was as much as PLN 35 million.
“Encouraged with our clients’ success and considering our own development plans, we have also decided to take advantage of such kind of support,” says Mariusz Sosnowski, CEO of Infosystems SA. “Our plans are very ambitious and such support will help us implement the plans much sooner. We are happy that yet another time we have managed to draft an application that was approved by the commission granting EU subsidies. It should be noted that so far we have had lots of successes related to our clients’ projects. The projects we have helped prepare included several Polish leading printing houses as well as smaller companies.
Many of those documents were drafted by the European Fund Department, operating within Infosystems SA which was set up as a result of the EUGA initiative started last spring (a consortium of Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard and BRE Bank SA). As a result, printing companies are provided with free of charge comprehensive services related to drafting applications for funding of IT projects in their companies.
The subsidy that Infosystems SA managed to obtain is related to co-financing of measure 1.4-4.1. Support to specific projects and support to implementation of R&D results. The co-financing may be used on projects composed of: research part – measure 1.4 (industrial research and/or development work) and implementation part – measure 4.1 (implementation of results of research through investment purchases to business operations). It should be noted that the company keeps drafting applications related to investment projects for companies that plan development in the near future. ”We believe that the subsidy we received will help us develop an innovative production system in a short time. We are convinced that our new proposal will be interesting to many manufacturers in Poland. However, we may not disclose any details yet,” says Mariusz Sosnowski.
